Monika Witkowska and Beata Wojtkowska appointed to INTA Committees

Partners of K&K Monika Witkowska and Beata Wojtkowska have been appointed to International Trademark Association (INTA) Brand Restriction Committee and INTA Bulletin Committee, respectfully, for the 2020–2021 term.

The Brand Restriction Committee develops and advocates the Association’s policy regarding the impact of brand restrictions on trademark and related rights. The Committee will monitor developments in treaties, legislation, and regulations in various jurisdictions, complete analyses, and coordinate advocacy activities with other relevant INTA committees such as the Legislation & Regulation Committee.

The INTA Bulletin Committee’s main objective is to generate and coordinate relevant, reliable, helpful, timely articles and news reports, with global coverage, for each of the Bulletin issues, covering trademark law trends and practice issues as well as actual trademark law developments that are likely to affect their business or practice. Committee members on the 7 INTA Bulletin-focused subcommittees (Association News, Features, and 5 regional Law & Practice subcommittees) research, write and verify the accuracy of articles on Association news and policy, and trademark law and practice.

INTA is the global association of trademark owners and professionals dedicated to supporting trademarks and related intellectual property in order to protect consumers and to promote fair and effective commerce. INTA’s members are more than 7,200 organizations from 187 countries. INTA members collectively contribute almost US $12 trillion to global GDP annually.

Committee members, together with INTA staff, contribute their expertise to addressing issues such as advocacy of trademarks and brand owner rights, resources dedicated to intellectual property advancement, communication and implementation of INTA’s strategic objectives, and planning educational programs and events.
